The promoter of "VAD"® Aquaculture Centers is the Society VIKING AQUACULTURE DEVELOPMENT Ltd (VAD).
The company Viking Aquaculture Development Ltd (VAD) is the exclusive owner and concessionaire for all Spain in the use of the SRS® Production System Patent.
Likewise, only VAD® Aquaculture Centers are authorized to use the Patented SRS® System, verifying its productive effectiveness and guaranteeing the continuous R+D+I technological development of the SRS® Production System for the different aquaculture species.
Viking Aquaculture Development Ltd (VAD) with the collaboration of Akvaplan – Niva (APN), a Norwegian specialized company founded in 1984 and the Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA), has developed an intensive land based fish farming system called SRS® Production System.
The Shallow Raceway System (SRS)®, is defined as "System of Trays with Shallow Water Currents", which the company Viking Aquaculture Development Ltd (VAD) has created and developed overlapping trays over others. The system corresponds to the R+D+I work developed several years ago in Norway, continuously expanded and commercially developed by Viking Aquaculture Development Ltd (VAD), which are reflected in the patent achieved.
Viking Aquaculture Development Ltd (VAD), enables the construction and national or international implantation of VAD® Aquaculture Centers to financial institutions or interested investors, guaranteeing their viability. Only VAD® Aquaculture Centers, endorse the technological use of the Patented SRS® Production System inside an exclusive building, constructively adapted to the features of the SRS® System consolidating it, periodically controlling its maintenance and verifying the continuous R+D+I technological development of the same.
