Vad® Technology
In aquaculture production, it is important to emphasize that the question " Production Technology " basically means the generation
of knowledge on the biology of species, the improvement of the traditional practices that are not effective and the establishment
of optimal management routines based on experimental protocols to manipulate animals in captivity and improve productive profitability
maintaining the characteristics of environmental and sanitary quality. For this reason, we understand that the technological research
in the company must be especially objective in relation to its practical applicability, without losing sight of the economic viability
and the cost of investment of the improvements to be made.
The "VAD"® Aquaculture Centers will use the Patented SRS® Production System on rectangular trays, arranged in height. This system is characterized by its easy installation, reduced need of space to achieve large productions, easy maintenance, control of the water temperature, use filtering systems that improve the sanitary conditions of the water and the species, eliminating impurities, increasing the well-being of fish and respect for the environment, requiring very little amount of water
Technological Innovation of the "VAD"® Aquaculture Centers, is the optimization of an intensive fish production system, respectful of the species and the environment, conditioning or implementing the productive system of any species to the patented, SRS production system intensive for aquaculture.
Currently, outside Spain, the tray-intensive production system is being applied with great success to various species, both freshwater and saltwater (marine), ensuring production results while significantly reducing the cost of them.

Technological Objectives
The Main Technological Objective of the "VAD"® Aquaculture Centers, which concentrates and centralizes all the efforts of the department
R+D+I, is :
" The launching of the first system of fattening of aquaculture species in closed circuit in Spain, respectful with its animal well-being and the environment, profitable, that allows to supply to the market with aquatic diversity in quantity and sufficient quality, during all year round ".
The specific technological innovations that VAD® Aquaculture Centers, encompass in their installations are the following :
- Patented SRS® Production System, adapted to the physiological and biological characteristics of each aquaculture species.
- Modular System of Independent Production, for the fattening of fingerlings aquaculture up to its commercial size.
- Controlled Production of Fingerlings, working in the management of reproducers by means of thermo-period control, so that the installations have an effective use all year round.
